a pic i did for a buddy as a birthday gift. i don't care for spiderman, not one bit. but he has man love for him, so i figured he'd like it. plus it'd be the last thing he'd expect me to draw. not bad for 2hrs work, not great, but not bad. more like a convention sketch style. plus i got to mess around with some things.
the buildings at the bottom are a thing i was trying out, an awesome comic artist called laurence campbell does great things with buildings. he sometimes doesn't have the structure in the drawing, only the reflected light from the windows. what i ended up with looks nothing like his buildings, fail.
i checked out gymnasts/rock climbers/martial artists for the pose. in the end i think it was a parkour(spelling?) "free runner" guy i think. google images is my friend
he had a great pose, just hanging there, im not sure what he was hanging form. i just had to enhance the pose a bit. anyway, it was fun to do. like i said, 2hrs of speedy drawing so not the best thing ever.
